Nine Lies launches Appeal for Local Charity
BelfastOctober 19, 2011: Nine Lies, Belfast’s hottest new band are appealing for help to raise money for their official charity Blaze’s Appeal (www.blazesappeal.co.uk). Using the internet based company Pledge they aim to raise £3,000 in order to film a music video, and donate 20% of the proceeds to local charity: Blaze’s Appeal, founded by the parents of Blaze Shields-Pettit to raise money for the Royal Belfast Children’s Hospital.
The video is for the title track of Nine Lies upcoming EP “Kill For A King”, and has a distinctly 60’s spy movie theme. “We are planning on filming this in the style of the old James Bond movies, with lots of KGB agents and Femme Fatales” says Stevie Mann, lead singer. “We really hope we can raise enough money to film the video, and support Blaze’s Appeal for a New MRI Scanner at the Royal Belfast Children’s Hospital.”
The Band has launched their appeal across the internet, and is featuring it heavily across their social Networks. “We have already received some Pledges, but we have a long way to go, and only sixty days to raise the money we need” said John Rossi, Bassist. “We just need to raise awareness of our appeal to the public, and let them know that by pledging, they will not only be helping to make a fantastic video, and raise money for charity, but they will also receive loads of goodies just for pledging” agrees Drummer Stoogie.
Pledgers can choose how much they want to give, with pledges starting at just £8.00, and in return can get their hands on all kinds of Nine Lies goodies, including days out with the band, private gigs, merchandise, the opportunity to be in the Music video, signed photos, the finished EP and music Video and much, much more.
Pledgers will also receive regular updates, and exclusive downloads during the pledging period.
Blaze’s Appeal Charity founders Darren and Dawn Shields-Pettitt are fully behind Nine Lies appeal, and are asking people to pledge what they can “Please help this band out and the Blazes Appeal Charity – great band-great bunch of guys.” appealed Dawn, “This is Amazing” she added.
